Vacancies: Attorney (Pretoria) and Candidate Attorney Programme
Lawyers for Human Rights (LHR) is a leading human rights organisation with a thirty-year track record of human rights activism and public interest litigation in South Africa. We offer lawyers an exciting and challenging work environment covering a wide range of human rights work, focusing on refugee and migrant rights, land reform and housing, security of farm workers, environmental justice and constitutional litigation.
The Refugee and Migrant Rights Programme seeks a self-motivated admitted attorney with an interest in constitutional and public interest litigation. Good writing and research skills are essential. High Court litigation experience would be an advantage. This is an opportunity to get exposure to international law, work with United Nation structures and deal with precedent-setting public interest litigation.
LHR invites law graduates with an interest in human rights litigation to apply for candidate attorney positions in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban and Stellenbosch. The programme is an opportunity to gain valuable practice exposure under the guidance of skilled human rights lawyers. LHR offers a dynamic but challenging articling experience for self-motivated and energetic individuals.
